-I’ve now been in FL for 6 days. 5 more to go.
-The ( beach ) is nice, the water is warm and i’ve seen wild dolphins swim pretty close to me a few times. it was beautiful. i was in heaven. i love dolphins. :)
-We went to a ( fresh water spring ) yesterday, and i got to swim on top of it and see the water bubbling out of the earth, it was nuts i’ve never seen anything like it. the crack like hole goes down like a valley about 4 stories deep and at the bottom there are rocks and caves you can go in if you have a tank or can hold you breath long enough. the water was incredibly clear, you could see everything- even people swimming 100 feet away from you. I also went kayaking down the river and saw lots of fish, turtles and sting rays. the water in the river was pretty deep but you see every creature that lived there clearly bc of the clarity of the water. At the spring i also took a walk about the in the ( forest ), that was nice, it reminded me of Venezuela and how much i love and miss palm trees.
-It’s nice to be away from arlington and trader joe’s and all that but i do miss everyone a lot. spending sooo much time with my family and the family were staying with here is hard, mostly when it is impossible to take a break from them, i can’t just drive off and get some air on my own. the couple we’re staying with have been friends with my dad since college, they have 2 kids Alexandra and ( Ben ). they are very spoiled kids who interrupt everyone who is talking by screaming and only eat bread and butter for dinner. but they’re cute and they are also making me rethink whether or not i REALLY do want to have children some day. hmmm.

-puppy surprise games
-crawling out of your mothers’ bathroom window onto the little strip of cement and making tea.
-playing playmobile in the creek near my house
-tons of sleepovers
-playing at Teo’s- with Rosito, the chickens and half dozen skinny dogs.
-climbing mango trees
-chuspa trip
-Maria-Teresa’s pool
-the branch’s bbq’s
-camping in VT
so many more memories, these are a few.

I went up to Evan’s ( house ) in Vermont this past weekend. it was the best weekend i’ve had in a really really long time. i got time to relax, and to enjoy the ( beautiful ) weather and ( company ). we went swimming in a ( trout pond ). hiked around his land. looked at the hundreds of ( tadpoles ) in the pond. cooked together. ( fed ) the trout. made big a ( fire ) at night. pet really cute ( baby cows ). i loved it. i didn’t want to come back at all. my whooping cough is still torturing me, but it’s getting less frequent, which is an improvement..
It doesn’t feel like vacation yet, i hope it does soon.
Orientation is next week. :) I’m psyched to be going back to VT for a couple days.

I’m unofficially done with high school. in exactly a week i will be really done, after i get my diploma. i doesn’t feel like summer quite yet, there’s something missing and its not just the hot humid weather, i cant put my finger on it.
I will soon start working full time at TJ’s to make money for college. hooray.
This week will be crazy, grad rehearsal, awards night, prom, grad and last blast all in a short 5 days.
Went to see a good movie with Robin last night.. its called “I’m not Scared” its a foreign film from Italy. i really liked it.
i wonder if i will ever feel sad about leaving high school...

everything is finally falling in place. and in the right place. i am so so soooooo unbelievably relieved and happy because after all the stress and disappointment--
I’M GOING TO UVM THIS FALL!!!!!!! aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh!
i’m so sooooooooo happy. i can’t stop smiling! this is amazing and it’s all thanks to Ms.Rakowsky who talked to my very stubborn parents and will be getting a huge bouquet of flowers from me on friday!

9:03 pm - 'i wont pretend that i can't see the end.'

-went to see Eternal Sunshine for a Spotless Mind with Pipah on fri. one of the best movies i’ve seen a whiiile-- everyone--> go see it.
-the broken social scene concert was incredible.
-stars - their opening band was also very very awesome and i am now love them almost as much as BSS.
-got to see James and Scilla for point 2 seconds during the other opening band, Dios.
-my parents have basically told me that going to Champlain is out of the question and will be impossible to afford.
-they are also trying to convince me to not go to school till spring to have more time to apply to an instate school, and have a smaller debt when i get out of school. sweeeeeeet.
-UVM still stands as an option. still haven’t received they’re financial packet though. *crosses fingers*
-term 4 starts thursday. we’re so close.
i wish i was this old again, with no worries.

-school is becoming more unbearable by the minute.
-i cant wait to see me love, Alana, this summer.
-evan makes me smile. a lot.
-he came over last night to show me the pics. they came out good. he let me keep a couple. he still needs to develop a lot more. (the one i really like is below). we hung out for a couple hours.
-it is absolutely goooooreous out today. it makes me so unbelievably happy. i’m sitting on the roof outside of my room right now, listening to old weezer which = summmer timee. :)
-i hope the weather stays like this till the summer, that would be amazing. though school would be that much more unbearable if it was this beautiful out...

i had a good day today. it was nice to have a good day.
I went to harvard sq. with Evan and he took pictures of me.. he’s such a nice guy i really enjoy his company, he’s funny and we have a lot in common, for example we have both have had bad dates on the walking bridge in harvard sq.
i’m pretty camera shy and didn’t know what to do, so i hope the pictures come out ok. also it was sooo windy i could barely keep my eyes open and my hair out of my face.
Evan use to live in the house next to mine. weird.
i bought the Amélie DVD. :)
happy spring everyone! its officially spring. so it could only get better.

woohooo! i just found out i got into UVM! exciting! i got in everywhere i applied. :)
So now i have to wait and see what school offer me and then i can make my decision based on the financial shit. it sucks. my parents are being jerks about it, they’re basically telling me that i cant go to my dream school (champlain) because we cant afford it. i’ve worked so hard to get into champlain and now that I’m in they tell me this?! way to burst my bubble.
i know having thousands of dollars worth of loans isn’t the best way to spend your post-college years but if thats what its going to take to be able to go to Champlain then, i’ll do it.
my parents are also guilt tripping me about how much college is going to cost and how their going to have to cut back in a lot things, like trips, and re-doing the attic and so much more. i feel guilty for wanting to go to college..
UVM is awesome, but too big, for me. i don’t want to be a number in a sea of kids.
i want to go to champlain!!! damnit.... why is college so damn expensive?!

my name is too long and easily mispronounced/butchered by a lot of people.. it use to bother me so much, it doesn’t really faze me anymore BUT i think i should get a nick name something english-friendly.. Manu is what my family calls me and i don’t like it when any one else calls me that. so thats out.. so what are we left with? Ela? i like Ela. it means ‘her’ in italian..i think...i don’t think it would stick though..hmm...
any suggestions?

after a horrible day at, including waking up with a soar throat and all signs pointing towards a cold i had to go to work.. work wasn’t that bad, i guess. i was on demo and then we ran out of what i was serving, so i had to clean up early and do frozen. (basically stock the frozen section and help annoying customers so give you their shopping list and send you on your way, people are so lazy these days)
after work i went to Clayton’s and hung with Scilla(!!!), Rowan, Piper and Andrew for a bit. then we came here hung out here and jumped on the trampoline. then scilla decided we were gonna drive to Wesleyan to get some things she needed for France. so all of excluding piper who needed to get some sleep headed off to connecticut at midnight. it was a 2 hour drive there, we got there and went to a 24 hour diner with her roommate and then headed back home. it was a really fun night. it felt like the summer time, even though it was kind of cold out. it really made me realize the school year is almost over and this summer is going to be awesome and so is college. i cant wait. just 3 more months.
